How was it created?

Materials and Techniques
The materials used include over 150 000 London newspapers donated by the public, plywood panels, sticks (made of rolled newspaper) and ties. A temporary tarpaulin shelter was also available in case of rain.

The techniques used in the art-making process include rolling numerous newspaper sheets into ‘logs’ through the use of a specially invented paper-rolling machine. This technique was extended through placing logs vertically, attached with ties to form walls, or horizontally, attached with ties to from the floor and door/window frames. The plywood panels were used as the base structure of the house to provide stability.
